My name is Bo Bison. I started playing Infinite Flight a year ago and was immediately drawn in by not only its dedication to providing a realism to its users but how accessible the simulator makes realism (with easy to use controls). Having used other simulators in the past, I knew that I wanted to be able to use a variety of aircraft, with actual airline liveries, use autopilot on a set flight plan, interact with ATC, and be part of a community where respect for other pilots was the top priority. Infinite Flight provides all of this.
My interest in aviation was sparked at a very young age, growing up in a Navy town with a Master Jet Base, I would frequently see F-14s and F/A-18 Super Hornets flying in the skies above my house, and would frequent the Airshows which were abundant in my area. My interest was further expanded when I was 8 years old and took my first flight, a US Airways flight connecting through Charlotte on my way to Birmingham, AL, where I was heading to see family and catch an Alabama Football game with my dad (Roll Tide!). I went to college on the opposite coast of where I grew up, and therefore I would take long haul flights across all the country multiple times a year. This, combined with having lived and worked internationally, has made me very interested in long-haul commercial flights, and thus this is what I mostly do while in Infinite Flight.
When I first started with IF I was a Partner and Product Manager at a 10 employee Technology Startup, which kept me very busy (working 50-80 hours a week). Prior to that I was a Marine Biologist, I have multiple research projects that are currently pending publication in scientific journals.
Currently I am pursuing a career as a Chef by working as a line cook at a top fine-dining restaurant in the Tampa Bay area!
I am excited to have found this simulator and this community and hope to be a positive addition to the forum.
