Meeting Point
We will plan to meet on Observation Deck B at 11:00AM CEST. Note that the observation deck does have an admission fee. Prices listed below:
- Adult: 5 CHF
- Youths aged 10-16: 2 CHF
- Children under 10: FREE
- Passengers with a valid boarding pass on day of departure/arrival: FREE
- Holders of the disability insurance (DI) certificate: FREE
Note: you can exit the observation deck and re-enter whenever you wish. If you do exit, you’ll be required to hand in your old entry pass in exchange for a new one.

Here’s a detailed breakdown of our day at ZRH! Note that this is of course (as always) subject to change at any given point, though this plan should be pretty set in stone.
11:00 - 12:00 We’ll all gather on Observation Deck B to do some plane spotting & get to know each other!
12:00 - 12:30 Group photo & giveaway
12:30 - 14:00 Lunch break
14:15 - 15:45 Airside bus tour (limited spaces - get your tickets HERE)
15:45 - 17:00 Final hour of plane spotting
🚌 Getting to Zurich Airport
Travelling to the airport is easy and Zurich airport have a dedicated page to guide every step of the way. There are many trains, trams and bus services to and from the airport. In addition to that, there’s plenty of parking available to those who drive to this event.
ℹ️ Additional info
Please take care of yourself and others around you. Noises above 85dB can cause hearing damage so if you wish, bring hearing protection. Ages under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Masks are optional but welcome at the meet. Attendees are encouraged to respect their peers’ personal choices at all times.
Unfortunately, if a weather warning is issued, the observation deck can be closed last minute with short notice. For this reason we will compile a series of contingency plans to fall back onto in the worst case scenario.
It’s a requirement to pass through airport security to access the Observation Deck. Here are some details from Zurich Airport’s website regarding the Observation Deck:
- Dogs are not permitted, with the exception of guide dogs for the blind and assistance dogs (identification checks possible).
- Hand luggage with maximum dimensions of 60 x 40 x 20 cm is permitted.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited.
- For safety reasons, kickboards, skateboards and inline skates are not permitted.
- There is no access to the boarding gates via the observation deck.
- Larger pieces of luggage must be stored prior to accessing the observation deck.
