Some feedback. 😀

  • I sat there for a bit listening to you communicating with other aircraft for a bit and I noticed that when they requested a frequency you told them to contact KEWER tower. In the taxi instructions it says ‘contact tower when ready’ this means that you need to tell them 'you were already instructed to change frequency’ this can be found as a ground controller in Misc Messages right at the bottom.

  • I wanted to takeoff remain in the pattern which means I wanted to fly upwind, crosswind, downwind, base & final (refer to image)

You only gave me a clearance for takeoff without saying left / right traffic. It is important to add a direction when you are remaining in the pattern. Additionally, you don’t need to frequency change approved aircraft on the pattern as they would love a landing clearance 😊

I appreciate the feedback! In regards to your comment about the frequency changes, I know that what I did was wrong (in terms of proper ATC Procedures), however I was trying to avoid any conflicts since last time I said that someone reached out on the IFC and slammed me for it.

In regards to your comment about taking off in remaining in the pattern, I know and wanted to give you the proper message, however when I clicked Cleared for takeoff, my only options were the following:

Send
Straight Out (5000ft)
Straight Out (3000ft)
Straight Out (1000ft)
Request Immediate Takeoff

So, I didn’t want to send you the wrong message and just went the basic way by clearing you for takeoff with no instructions. I am sorry for that :(

They were obviously deeply misguided… From one of Tyler Sheltons ATC videos


Just press the < arrow and click to clear me again it happens to me sometimes when I queue the instruction but then they want remaining in the pattern.

Cleary so! I just took the safe route, especially since it was in in TS, however if I become IFATC, I will obviously use proper procedures. Anyway, thanks for swinging by and the feedback :)
