YouTube Video - Norwegian Airlines could collapse

Norwegian Airlines could collapse like how Primea Air collapsed. They are in high debt, and high fuel prices are not helping.

Apparently, one of their 737 MAX airplane is stuck in Iran, and they might violate their loan terms, which could turn into the lenders demanding repayment immediately.

This is crazy, I would have never thought something like this might or could happen! I hope nothing bad happens to Norwegian Airlines.

Oh no!!! This really can’t happen.

Hopefully it doesn’t. I also wish Norwegian can expand east, across Russian airspace to Tokyo, Singapore, and more. But Russia isn’t giving them access.

I love this livery. If this happens I won’t be seeing this in Boston no more.

Saw the video, really sad. Maybe there’s a slight chance Norwegian can fly XXXX-PANC-RJJT (or other Asian destination) 🤔

I really like them and I hope thy can get around this and expand east towards Asia more. Btw how in the world did their MAX get stuck in Iran?
I’m pretty sure they don’t operate to Tehran or other Iranian cities

Emergency or something? I have no idea. Just as clueless as you are though.

It seems like with aircraft like the 737 MAX, A320 Neo, 787, and more being more and more efficient low cost airlines have been given great confidence, but seem to be growing too fast for the model. Others that are successful like SWA, Frontier Spirit, Ryan Air, Allegiant, etc. seem to have taken a more long term approach, and now rival the big guys, it seems like these kind of explosive, overnight airlines are not something that the budget airline model can sustain…

The 737 max is stuck in Iran because apparently Iran doesn’t have access to the new 737 max and one landed right in their hands

The article is interesting, shows how serious this is

I can imagine IAG smiling. If Norwegian shuts diwn, it’s gonna be the best Christmas present for IAG lol

The is the flip side of running the LoCo business model. All aircraft are leased, low tickets mean less cash in the bank as a reserve and whilst insurance will cover the B787 RR issue and the Gatwick issue, this will take time and other big payments need to be paid first!

I do hope they can survive, I have flown with them several times both short haul and long haul and think that they offer a good product for both tourists and business travellers.

Don’t see me complaining lol

WOW! another airline? it certainly seems true…

This would be a real shame as Norwegian was a good airline.

If Norwegian collapses, who will take over all the remains?

Probably a better company

I heard that IAG is heavily interested in the airline. Adding Norwegian to their portofolio would definitely expand their route network. Not to mention that they have a significant amount of flights out of London (Gatwick though)
