Welcome to your guide to Yangon Mingalardon International Airport!
this is my first guide so this is going to be a bit rusty
Introduction
Yangon Mingalardon International Airport (VYYY) is the largest international airport in Myanmar. It is located in the southern part of Myanmar, near major cities like Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Hanoi, and New Delhi, making it a strategic place for tourism.
Operations
Yangon International Airport has 2 passenger terminals and 1 small cargo terminal. The International Terminal serves flights to international destinations, as short as Bangkok (0:30) or as long as Seoul. (8:00) The domestic terminal has no gates and serves all domestic destinations.
In terms of airlines, there are many different options. Of course, there are the Burmese airlines; Myanmar National Airlines, Myanmar Airways International, Golden Myanmar, (Operations Paused) Mingalar Air Services, (Previously Air KBZ) Air Thanlwin, and Mann Yadanarbon Airlines. There are also many international airlines; Thai Airways, Singapore Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Air India, China Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines and Korean Air.
Historical Operations
In November 2012, Condor started operating Boeing 767s to Yangon Mingalardon from Frankfurt. Outbound had a stop in Phuket but inbound flights were direct. Emirates, Qatar Airways, and ANA were notable airlines that all flew to Yangon.
