Milano Linate “Enrico Forlanini” Airport
Introduction
Welcome back to another Italian airport guide.
Today’s topic will give a detailed guide on using Milano Linate “realistically” on Infinite Flight.
Enjoy!
General Information
Milano Linate Airport was named after Enrico Forlanini, an inventor and aeronautical pioneer born in Milan. Being located just 7km away from Milan city centre, it holds the title of second of three airports located in the greater Milan metropolitan area, preceding Milano Malpensa & Bergamo Airport.
Due to the airport’s proximity to the city centre of Milan (7km), a government decree was enacted, restricting the available landing slots from the standard 32 slots per hour to 22 slots per hour, downgrading Linate from an International airport to a Domestic airport with the occasional short-haul intra-EU flights, and Flights to Ireland & the UK.
Terminals and Gates
Main Apron
The airport consists of a single terminal (similar to London City Airport), split into three floors.
The Ground floor is dedicated to arrivals (Immigration, baggage reclaim etc), and access to boarding gates A01 to A15 & B26 to B28.
On the first floor, you can find the departure lounge (Check-in area, security screening, passport control) and boarding gates A17 to A21 (which coincide with the only 5 jet bridges available at the airport’s disposal). The airport’s second floor is where all the business class lounges for ITA Airways and British Airways can be found.
Close to the terminal building, the Emporio Armani hangars (see image above) is located, and next to that, a small cargo terminal can be found with dedicated remote stands.

Military Apron
Not much is known relating to the Military Apron at Linate airport, but FR24 data suggests that LIN is a frequent visitor for VIP transport Falcon 50’s or ACJ319, and satellite imagery of the area shows 2 parking stands for C130 & A319.
Airlines
Here is a complete list of the commercial airlines that fly into Linate. Note that for those flights that I don’t know the aircraft type, I will indicate it with a question mark (?) I am using a combination of Flightradar24 data and info from the Airline’s booking page where possible - so the information may not be 100% accurate

On the other hand, runway 17/35 used to be the runway which could handle smaller GA planes, however, the short length of the runway, combined with the sparse use of the runway, was decided to stop operations and is now used as parking for semi-abandoned private jets.
