Pushback Guide

Pushback Guide

Ok, let me preface by saying that I am making this part of the guide for the sole purpose of realism.

Many times at MDW in IF, I see people pushing back wrong. Ever wondered why the taxiway is so far back?*

*NOTE: This only applies to the North and West sides of Concourse B and the entirety of Concourse C.

Incorrect:

  1. Uses Auto Pushback

    2.Goes straight to Taxiway

Since MDW is such a small airport with one taxiway operations shown above are not used.

Correct

  1. Does Manual Pushback

  2. Turns slightly angled not on Taxiway

  3. Uses Nose wheel and thrust (after engines are started) to turn towards taxiway

  4. Is already taxiing by the time they are on the taxiway

The Above allows planes to get their engines started out of the way of other craft.

I am also open for Demos of this, PM me.

If you have suggestions or corrections, just PM me

Just one small typo I noticed:

Think this is meant to say “31R-13L”
