Your Favorite Airline, Aircraft, Livery Nostalgia

What is this thread about:

This thread is for you to recap all of your favorite retros, whether the barely fly, or there sitting in a graveyard waiting to be scrapped, or the Airline doesn’t fly anymore, here is the place to look back on them with others.

What is Nostalgia?
Nostalgia is a sentimentality for the past, typically for a period or place with happy personal associations.

Rules:

  1. You can post pictures if you desire to, as long as proper credit is given.

  2. If you notice something is out of place, please tell the user in a PM.

  3. Please refrain from off-topic discussions, and if something seems to be off-topic, flag it and move on.

  4. You are able to post anything that wouldn’t be found flying (or rarely found) in aviation today. (Example: Concorde, FedEx old livery, PanAm, etc).

I’ll start us off.

Flew with them before they closed, I flew to Teneriefe then got a ferry to La Gomera (nearby island)

I loved Delta’s Colors in Motion Livery. The tail design and silver belly I did not forget. It kinda ruined my childhood when I discovered why they called it “Deltaflot”, having accidental references to Russia and Aeroflot in all though.

The KLM 1995 Swan livery.
My favorite outfit for the queen.

This is the PH-BFE, City of Melbourne, taking off from 36L at EHAM.
This 747-406(M) was phased out in 2017, after 27 years of service.

I took this picture in 2004.

@Jan That is one really good picture! I honestly like that KLM livery better than the current one.

Always loved this livery on the Continental 777. And I sure do miss seeing Continental aircraft.

Good ole Peter MAX. The 777 looks great in that livery.

Even though this livery is still around, and Southwest is phasing it out, the “Canyon Blue” livery.
