"Max Sends " & sez’s; Why wait for some administrative actor to act! Give the Playground Controller the “Send them to Parking” option. Immediate action required, Let the Admin Fiddle while the man on the scene acts. If the Controller abuses the option you have all the time in the world to correct him/her! We’ve been talking about the problem for 6+ months, get it done!

Unfortunately I think this is a game of Whac-A-Mole; It doesn’t matter what type of restriction we put on the callsigns there will always be creative ways to offend ppl.
That being said, we are taking some action for the upcoming release that should make callsigns less troll-prone: they will have to be all caps and limited to 8 characters (longest official callsigns we know of). This means the call sign in OP’s pic will be spelled “nine-echo-lima-echo-victor-echo-november-sixty-nine”. While you might still be “visually” offended, at least you won’t hear it :)

Keep in mind this is only a first step. We will look into improving the text to speech system to spell things a bit faster when there is a lot of traffic and also maybe support automatic short callsigns when there is no ambiguity.

@divebuddha See my response above. We are, it is just a far more complex issue than ppl think. We also don’t want ATC to have to deal with this constantly.

This is an issue that we have been discussing a lot internally, so we hear you guys. The solution is just not that trivial.
