How you can made your posts in a yellow box?

Who told you that? Moderators are users with the shield, just like Carson. If they don’t have the shield, they’re not a moderator.

Yellow posts, or “staff posts”, are yellow highlight and can only be applied by a person with the shield. They usually apply it if a post is “staff worthy”, if you know what I mean.

Yellow posts are basically meant to let new forum members know that it’s staff and not someone else that could potentially be giving random or faulty information. Sometimes I get to a topic too late and someone else (usually a regular) has already taken the words out of my mouth. Instead of writing up my own reply I just make their post yellow and be done with it. That’s why some of you may have seen your posts in yellow

We basically add the yellow background to others’ posts if we were about to say something but they already said it perfectly. Might as well give you credit for it and close the topic at hand :)
