XP glitch?

Doing a little HNL-LAX flight and I noticed that this guy has 12.6 million XP with only 4,000 hrs while I sit at 3.6 million and 5,000 hrs. Must’ve been grinding out those landings huh

It depends on whether you were using AP+, how old the account is, how difficult and well done the landings were, etc. a lot of factors go into XP besides just hour and landing counts.

I started last May

What thing gave you the most XP? Landings?

Long haul flights and difficult landings.

What do you mean by “difficult landings”?

Crosswinds for one thing. And I think low vis also

I never knew you could get more XP for those landings! Learned something new today, thanks!

I don’t get how players can stay in the air for over 100 hours on a single flight without landing.

They don’t. The only way is to use AAR, which doesn’t happen very often. Either they just start a lot of flights but never land, or they don’t log off except in AP+ so it looks like they have a 100hr flight

Is this a faster way to earn XP?

No. I would actually highly recommend not using AP+ if XP is your goal. This is because AP+ tends to miscalculate your earned XP, almost always giving you less, sometimes far less than you deserve. I don’t particularly care for XP, but I remember being shocked when it gave me 500XP for a 9 hr flight!

Is that the reason there is a user with 1 billion XP?
