As predicted previously, the WTO ruling on 777X tax breaks has been reversed. The tax breaks are not considered illegal by the WTO. With the legal spat between the two manufacturers expected to continue over other points of contention, it seems that this round went to Boeing.
I’m happy for boeing, but tbh, both the US and the EU are guilty of this.
Indeed both sides have tax breaks and the such. That’s why I said this round went to Boeing. No one is ever “innocent”, it’s international trade.
Wait… I don’t really understand. So apparently the EU was giving tax breaks to Airbus or something… could someone please explain, as the article seems to assume that the reader is actually informed about this 😬
