I’m flying a 777 300LR, when I open the map it seems like the plane I’m using is a 4 engines plane, maybe a bug and if so can you fix it, this is stressing me out.
The 777 is considered a bigger aircraft so it shows up as a bigger aircraft icon.
The 777,A380 and 747 all have that larger long haul aircraft ICON
It’s no big deal. It’s a large plane. It makes it easier for controllers to ensure that large planes aren’t allowed into small airports. The number of engines help them to identify the size of the aircraft.
I’m not sure but I think large aircraft like that show a 747 outline, correct me if I’m wrong.
Moved this to general. Doesn’t seeem to be a support issue. I’ll let the mods decide
I would have to agree with you. Couldnt decide on it before
As it’s not an issue with the app, no it’s not a support topic.
Funny bc I was just going to ask why it got changed to General.
So that finishes this topic, Any large aircraft (Like The 777) is considered in a 747 quad engine aircraft for ATC or others to know that the aircraft is a Heavy.
Yeah, just in case anybody doesn’t understand:
Quad jet: large aircraft
Twin jet: medium airplane
Single engine: GA
(There could be a special one for a Dash 8, I forget)
To add on to what others have said, the A340 also has the quad engine icon. (Makes sense though)
