Wrong navigation guidance forced me me to quite the game

I was flying Peach 860 from Taipei Taoyuan to Tokyo. During my approach, I received visual landing instruction for RW 22.The final heading I was given was 230 at 2000 feet. However, on this heading, I couldn’t align with the runway. At that moment, I was cleared to land, so I began to turn right to adjust my heading. But then ATC told me to follow instructions or I wil get a report. I really don’t understand why. The heading you gave me was completely wrong. If I had continued flying at heading 230, I would have flown parallel to the runway about 3 miles to the left. I didn’t want to receive a report for no reason, so I quit the flight."

Best advice I could give is find in the replay if you still have it, find the controller and see if they have an IFC account linked. You can PM them and ask about what happened.

Tanks body definitely will do it

No worries, hope that helps.

From what I can tell, it seems like you were vectored along the LDA W approach for runway 23. It’s a unique approach with a late turn onto final – in IF, it’s labeled as the X22 and X23 approaches, and they are typically flown parallel to one another when these runways are in use.

I also see that you’ve been cleared for a visual approach to runway 22 – I’m not exactly sure why that was the case given your position in the screenshot, also considering the fact that there are three aircraft on the ILS approach for the same runway. I think it would’ve made more sense had it been runway 23, but this one puzzles me. If I were in your shoes, I would’ve certainly called missed approach, having approach vector me back for a new approach.

I hope this clears up some of your confusion, if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact myself or the controller. I’m happy to take a more detailed look so that appropriate feedback can be passed on to the controller.
