I decided to finally touch the Generic A380 (last time I did so was just before the rework for a sendoff photo), and was rather surprised to see a real registration (F-HPJD) on it. It was cool until I looked the engine. Surprise surprise, it’s a Trent 900, of which none of Air France’s A380s had.
While taking pictures for this topic (on which I wanted to emphasize the registration and the engine option), I was also surprised by the Air France A380 having a much smaller and centered underwing registration than the Generic A380. I did some research, and it turns out that, underwing registration-wise, the Generic one is more accurate.
