I would not be because of of all the crashes I’ve heard about them like the American DC-10 crash near Ohare a long time ago.

Yeah because flying in one of those could be a once in a lifetime experience.
I see what you did there 😏
Flying in the DC-10 would be an awesome experience.
I’d rather the MD-11.
Of course I’ll fly it, it’s an Awesome plane.
Definitely not . The same reason as yours. I would not risk my life flying on that so many crashes reported from that plane 😬
Depending on where it is going. If it is going from (JFK - BOS yes, but not JFK-LAX).
Plus, DC10 killed the Concorde.
No, I wouldn’t risk my life going on an unsafe plane, it’s design has many flaws in it, I mean I would if the plane were doing circuits.
I have flown in DC 10 many times. I loved it still had a great safety record
Are you counting the ones that died on the Concorde from a DC10 part that fell off?
All I can say is for me it was safe comfortable and overall pleasant experience
I understand how low the chances are, although that’s a bit too many people killed by a curtain plane in 20 years.
Once the early crashes were taken care of, the DC-10 was a good plane. Flew on quite a few years ago, and yes I would absolutely fly another one.
Actually the major crashes happened throughout the the time of production. One in 1972, 1974, 1979, 1989.
I think people discredit the plane too much, even the 777 which is considered the gold standard has had hull loss incidents.
Could you explain? Usually I see people say that when there’s a pun, but there is no pun.
Killed a Concorde*
Perhaps I misunderstood…
