Hi, im currently flying the 747-8 from SDF to DXB, and honestly looking at the aircraft it feels very legacy, the physics, the model seem to fit more in the legacy category, plus its turning 10 years old soon, so im asking if it would be considered legacy soon?
If it isnât already, i donât think it will be one day
. This is my opinion
Well are there any aircraft that became legacy after the âlegacy aircraftâ concept was introduced?
Hopefully it will be reworked sooned than later to prevent legacy status. đ¤
Iâm pretty sure that has happened. If my memory isnât failing me, initially only the C-17, the F/A-18 and maybe the P-38 were considered Legacy. Then, at some point possibly on the same update that explicitly showed them as Legacy next to their name), all aircraft older than the 747 were marked as so. The 747 likely wasnât put into the Legacy category because the âreworkâ (gear tilt, and, for the -8, wingflex) that happened in 2021 was fairly recent at that time.
Honestly i would have rather haved newer physics and fixed fuel consumption than wingflex, but thats just me
I donât think itâs fully considered legacy 100% as of now, but as for real life, many are considered legacy already :(
Since last year the 717 was legacy at ten years old, this year I do think unfortunately the 747 is now legacy đ
