World’s ONLY A340-600 Cargo Fleet: Exclusive Behind the Scenes!

We went behind the scenes at European Cargo! In this exclusive video, we capture the offload process of one of these rare aircraft, explore their operations center, and go back airside to record the departure process.

The Airbus A340 family is getting increasingly rare these days, moreso the A340-600’s. European Cargo saw potential in these aircraft and decided to go through with P2F (passenger to freighter) conversion process to fly cargo around the globe. After stripping out the seats, they carefully designed custom fire resistant pods for the super long cabin that can carry around a ton of cargo each. The crazy part is… they’re the ONLY freighter A340-600’s in the ENTIRE world!

From a quick glance, it’s easy to recognise that most of their A340-600’s used to fly for Virgin Atlantic. Having said that, they do also own ex Iberia and Etihad A340’s too!

If you want to go behind the scenes and check out what these P2F A340’S look like, watch our video below!

Beautiful video Dan

Awesome video Dan, I’ve seen this plane on FR24 and I’ve always wondered what they do. I find it interesting how they’ve used Bournemouth as their base and not another big cargo airport in the UK like STN or EMA.
