This may be in the wrong category but does anyone know if Wizz air allows virtual airlines to take on board their logo, branding etc

Based on the IFVARB website, Wizz Air is not a banned VA.

That does not answer the main question. No one has applied for Wizz Air at the time being, meaning that @Kedz is allowed to drop an application. The question is whether operating as Wizz Air Virtual is allowed or not.

Some real-world airlines have reached us because they do not want their name to be used in cases like this one. Those airlines can be found here:

If you do not see yours, then you are fine :)

which is why i asked the community if they’d allow VAs, thanks for helping though. i checked IFVARB and there was no wizz air

To answer your question @Kedz, it’s a no. Any company’s logo, branding, trademarks, patent is all owned by that company unless it’s a public equity (which most of them are not).

As per @Thomas_G was saying, anyone can apply for Wizz Air VA but we are in the process of submitting an application soon.

I was responding to his second comment saying that he was wanting to start the va and I recalled seeing yesterday a similar sort of topic to do with Wizz Virtual and that someone was working on it. I didn’t realise that they hadn’t claimed it as I automatically thought they would.

It’s first come first served usually. But depending upon a lot of factors, IFVARB has the final say of it to be approved or not.

Guys, no one is ahead because no one has applied for it yet. Instead of trying to rush each other, why don’t you co-operate? If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together…

i agree but as @tjb0709 we’ll have to look into it to ensure we are happy with starting up this VA as there is one that is already looking to apply
