On the next leg of my ‘retirement’ world tour, we will be flying to Sarajevo, a lesser-known city in the Dinaric Alps, famous for it’s rich history, Ottoman architecture, and great Balkan food.
For our trip to Sarajevo we will be flying on Wizz Air’s A321CEO. We arrived at the airport 2 hours before departure and still had time to get a quick snack before boarding.
We had a bit of a hold up with our baggage (classic budget airlines) but fortunately not for too long. Unfortunately, our seat is very cramped, barely big enough to fit me and my bag under the seat in front. Luckily we’re only locked in this metal tube for an hour.

Parked at the terminal. This was a nice, short flight but I’m glad to be on the ground to stretch my legs. Pity only Wizz flies this route.
Now, time to head to our hotel and deposit our baggage, after which we’ll head out to the famous Baščaršija to do a bit of shopping and get lunch. We’ll be touring Sarajevo and the surrounding region for a week, after which, we’ll head to Istanbul.
