MaxSez: It’s the non-gyroscopic “Gimbal”!

gim·bal
ˈɡimbəl,ˈjim-/
noun
a mechanism, typically consisting of rings pivoted at right angles, for keeping an instrument such as a camera, compass or chronometer horizontal in a moving vessel or aircraft. (Google is yr friend!),

Everyone is aware of the issue. If you fly for a very long time and your aircraft is far away from your departure airport, your aircraft will shake. This is called the floating point bug. The developers are aware of this issue and is trying really hard to get it removed. To stop your aircraft from shaking, you must fly back near your departure airport in order to calm your aircraft down from shaking. For example, if you took off from LAX and you are currently 19.5 nautical miles from LAX with your flight time being 21 minutes, then you can fly back to LAX to stop your aircraft from producing the floating point bug. I hope this answer your question, the floating point bug is what caused your wing cam to shake. You can read about the floating point bug here:

The floating point bug will be removed in the Global Flight update, hang in there buddy.

It’s a known issue due to the floating point bug.

Just to clarify:

  • Floating point bug is fixed in our Global Flight branch. It wasn’t really fixed per say, since the global branch never really suffered from this to begin with. The coordinate system it entirely different.
  • The bug will still be there in the next update. We could fix it but there’s no point in wasting time on something that will be retired.

MaxSez: This is not a “Floating Point” bug! It’s isolated to the pan camera only as noted. The FPB effects the whole airframe.
