Windspeed units for METARs in some countries (eg. China, Russia)

Hello! I’m currently flying a route from Tokyo Narita to Shanghai Pudong and when I’m checking the weather in Shanghai, I found that METAR in China, Mongolia, and some ex-Soviet Union countries (eg. Kazakhstan and Belarus) uses Meters Per Second as the windspeed unit. But it seems that IF decodes the METAR in a way that assumes the windspeed to be in Knots, so although current METAR shows that Shanghai Pudong Airport has weather…

in IF the airport only has 5 knots of wind while in real life there is actually about 10 knots (considering the 1MPS = 1.94KT conversion rate). I’m wondering if in some later updates IF can reflect this unit difference so the weather can be more realistic, especially at airfields where crazy windspeed and gusts are indeed their features (for example during the last typhoon season lol).

China uses meters as the unit. Don’t think IF will do anything to fix it.
