Are the winds in IF based on real-life winds? Like if a certain degree heading in real life has a certain speed/turbulence or if it would be tricky to land in that heading, would it automatically appear that way in IF too? E.g. if runway 25 irl has a specific wind speed like 20kts, would it appear the same in IF?
Winds in IF are based on real life conditions.
Yes they are based on IRL conditions. Usually directly representative of the METAR of that particular airport, and the winds aloft at that time.
