Device: Samsung Galaxy S21U Operating system: Android 14 Time: between 0800Z to 0830Z
Earlier today, I was on final for Runway 30L at OMDB in an A388 from FIMP, when I noticed an erratic increase in windspeed. I had headwinds which increase at about 2kts per second, getting to >50kts at <2000ft agl, so I had to go around as my airspeed was ballooning. Another plane landed right after me with no issues, and I initiated a second approach. I had the exact same issue, with headwinds getting as high as 111kts, all the way to landing.
My groundspeed was less than 40kts on final, and stayed that way for over 5 minutes (it took a long long time to finally land). When I landed, I couldn’t taxi, as anything more than 8kts groundspeed would have lifted the aircraft off the runway.
