You’re Welcome !
With the new update introducing Wind Barbs into the Globe UI, Some people might find these “weird” lines confusing.
I think this image explains it all.
Hi! Thanks for the explanation! But what does the color tell us?
Usually u won’t see them colored. But the colors represent the severity of the winds. Lighter colors mean low wind and darker would mean high wind speeds.
this might sound like a silly question but do i avoid the winds aloft because im fyling and theres barely any around me but its 83kts wind
Change the altitude setting that might be the issue.
What about the colours.
Bluer is calmer and redder that harsher?
yh thank you i understand the colours now
But why is there nothing over half of the planet
i dont even know but im doing a halifax to london and theres a lotttt
I’m over Iran on my way to Islamabad and it’s 95kts
mines worse im on 121kts right now i think canadian airspace is windy in general
What does it mean when it’s set on auto?
I put mine on auto I think it means whatever altitude your flying at, that’s the live wind its at so it changes automatically I think if that makes sense but I could be wrong.
like instead of changing it to FL18 FL33 auto means like current but i could be wrong again
I don’t know because I was at fl330 but the wind was a bit different on auto
yh i could be wrong because when i put mine on auto the map changes i think we need a help video about the wind because im confused as well about it
why is there nothing over half of the planet
Because the earth is flat, wind only happens on the top surface.
Wow just woke up didn’t expect this many likes. Thanks y’all!
Are u serious or just having fun?🤨
Where is the setting to turn it on? I can’t find it…
I think it depends on the altitude. IF won’t show anything below 50 kts above FL350 or so. Very low wind speeds (i.e. less than 15-20 kts) won’t be displayed as well.
Nice thread @Zuhayr_Shahid , will help many people out.
