Things I noticed
- Pushback back approved, forgot to tell me what runway to expect
- WiFi issues maybe, delay of response to some requests
- Clearances for the option/to land should not be given on short final if the pattern is empty
- You do not need to wait for pilot’s to report position before issuing clearance
- An aircraft requested takeoff while I was on a 5nm final, that was plenty of space, you could of cleared that aircraft for takeoff.
- Sequencing, When you have more then one aircraft in the pattern, sequencing is your friend: check this tutorial out
- You gave me the exit runway way too late, you should really issue it after touch down, and the pilot has control.
- When you announce closing in, make sure you actually close in that time.
- Also, you should try to always be open for an hour, that way traffic will have time to build up.

Thank you so much for your advice. I will check out that tutorial and hopefully will improve over time. I am going to stay open longer next time.

Thinking about doing some patterns in a DC-10… got a landing comp. soon, might be a good opportunity to practice. :P
“Expect runway …” actually should not be used everytime. It should be used if the controller deems it necessary for the aircraft to face a particular way for pushback to promote efficiency. It should not be used for every pushback clearance.
I know you posted that 21 days ago but I wanted to make sure the controller knew when and when not to send that command.
