Whenever we have Australia featured, Sydney and Melbourne tend to dominate.
Understandably most of the traffic flies between these two airports, but really, we could do with some more variety.
Perhaps encourage more flights between Perth and Adelaide, just for a change?
Happy IFC cakeday!
We cannot do much to make people fly somewhere, it’s their choice where they fly. Maybe there’s a YPPH FNF in the future for you?
Preaching to the choir. 😔
Pilots predictably fly to the same locations over and over despite a massively diverse world at their fingertips to explore. You can help improve this by heading to our #live:groupflights category to create spontaneous group events to encourage flying these lesser-known, but more enjoyable, routes!
Because it isn’t LAX YSSY LHR EHAM. It just doesn’t have the big routes that people love. It is also not as well know as the ones I listed.
But the point is people usually go where the ATC is
Most people fly to where there’s a lot of traffic. If more people started going to YPPH, then there could be a chance people would go there. Don’t forget Perth is also pretty far from Sydney and Melbourne.
Perth is on the ATC schedule today, so it should have coverage for most but not all day.
It will probably be opened once maybe twice as YSSY is the most important one of the day.
It’s really sad 😔 make a event somewhere people don’t fly maybe ask Tyler to get it featured on the schedule and spread the word about this under deserved airport.
Don’t worry, the good @Tyler_Shelton added it to the schedule :)
East coast of Australia has more routes with Brisbane and Sydney Melbourne it’s easy on the east side vs west coast
