Why is there a B737MAX parked at the gate in Vienna International Airport after the groundings?

That is a 737-800, not a Max. The max has more 787 looking engines and the winglets are different (easiest way to tell it apart)

It’s not the Max, it’s the 737ng with split scimitar winglets ;)

The engines where blocked by a vehicle, so you actually can’t really tell.

You can still tell by the schimaters (not sure how to spell it) that it is still an 800 variant

Looks like the 737-800 to me.

I went on sun express wikipedia fleet page they have no 737 max just yet but are waiting for them to be delivered

Oh ok then, guess that was just a regular B737-800.

The 737MAX engines are bigger and have more ‘silver’ looking metal at the beginning of the engines.
