Why is my plane flying slower?

I just set my Mach speed to .89 but my ground speed is still slower than the others, why?? 🧐

Sometimes it could be you’re internet connection as well. Do you notice any of the planes lagging forward and backward?

Several reasons:

  • When the AP is set at M.85, you could be anywhere between .845 and .855. Changing the AP setting does not help (this really needs to be changed lol). There are ways to make sure the value is much closer.
  • Some aircraft will be a bit slower at heavy weights, eg A350
  • Not a problem here, but every 20 FL climb makes you about 1% slower until the tropopause (that’s the blue line on the simbrief altitude graphs), and also winds.
