in case you didnt know someone released a IFConnect, its bassically a overhead panel for IF but im on mac and when i downloaded it and attemoted to open the application, it just says “This application could
jot be opened because this application is not available on this Mac.” IFConnect is only available on mac right
now but still no work and yes i contacted the dev but no response
This is most likely occurring because your security settings only allow apps from the App Store.
Since IFConnect is not an approved app by Apple it means that your Mac will recognize it as unofficial, therefore preventing it from opening.
To disable this security measure open System Settings->Privacy & Security->then scroll to allow apps from identified developers
I’m not recommending either way what to do, just stating how to do it!
Yeah it still didnt work, thanks tho!
What error message are you getting?
“You cant open the application “IFConnect” because this application is not supported on this Mac.”
What version of MacOS are you running?
macOS 14.6.1
Yea mine isn’t working either. We’ll have to see what the developer says.
Ugh thats too bad. This would be the PERFECT addition to my airbus setup. its only been released for a day though, so what do you expect.
Give it some time and I’m sure the developer will fix it! It looks like a really cool app.
yup! (ten characters)
i just reported it on his github, hope he responds
Ive been in contact with him all morning, and hes sent me versions to test. ig what happened is bc macbooks have two different proccesers, and the first version had one procceser snd not the other, so he has to completely re code it to fit the other one
Important!!
Please note that IFConnect can currently work on computers with Apple Silicon processors, that is, in versions with M1,M2,M3 chips, it cannot be used on macbooks with intel chips for now due to the difference in processor architecture. In addition, I am currently trying to solve this problem as a priority, and after solving this problem and releasing the windows version smoothly, great updates for IFConnect will be waiting for you, thank you for your patience. Have a good flight
IFConnect never accesses or uses your personal data, it is only developed to communicate with connect api. Apple warns users about applications installed from outside the App Store for security reasons.
Sorry i keep asking fir updates, any idea when this new version might be available? Im just dying to use this. (no rush) ;)
I can’t give a date right now, but I am working hard to solve it as soon as possible, I can’t wait to come with good news.
:)
I tried to install it on a M1 Mac and I was unable to open it.
Hi, tested on m1 MacBook and it turns on, did you go to privacy and security in settings and click on open IFConnect anyway?
Yes,
“IFConnect” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software.
Yes, it is normal to get this error, after you get this error, it works when you open the application from privacy and security anyway, can you give me a little more detail to understand the problem you have?
