A plane being unknown is a known issue. It is due to the pilots connection. Often because they will have left the app multiple times for extended period of times before joining your frequency. Make sure you don’t leave the app a lot as well while controlling to make sure it’s not your connection.
There is nothing you can do about it. Just leave them be and work around them.

They might not have a good connection to the servers. I know that was an issue before global

Also have you ensured you have a strong and stable connection?
Make sure you have these:
- Stable internet connection
- restart device and Infinite Flight
- Restart Wifi
