when ever i get close to a waypoint and my plane is on LNAV why is it that it turns so sharply. Is this just the game or is there a way to make it smoother??
Yep some aircrafts does have such a behaviour …but improved ones like 777-200Er and 737 do notn
Well it’s already a requested update on smooth transitions of Autopilot …so u can expect improvements in coming updates
Cheers
Thais is true, all planes are like that, we hope that with upcoming updates they will improve that
Looking Forward to it.
I’ve learned to activate an upcoming waypoint just before reaching the current one in order to help with smoother transitions. If the turn for the next leg isn’t too sharp, try activating it around 15 seconds before you reach it. This way, the plane will start a smooth turn to stay on the magenta line!
I found that the 737 still makes some sharp turns. It makes me want to quit my flight because it looks so bad. Every now and then you wouldn’t know that you turned unless you’re constantly watching
(unlike me 😂).
When there’s a crosswind, the aircraft will deviate from its path due to winds effect… So as the aircraft gets closer to the point; the aircraft tries hard to directly overfly the point in order to follow the FPLN precisely…
