Why does LAX do this in the morning?

Why is it that every morning LAX has 06R/L arrivals and 25R/L departures? It makes no sense to have arrivals going one way and departures going the opposite way.

Apparently from midnight to 6:30am local time, aircraft are required to fly over the ocean.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I believe it is for noise abatement procedures.

it’s called SODROPS, it’s to reduce traffic noise in the morning :)

Simultaneous Opposite Direction Parallel Runway Operations (or something like that) for anyone wondering. SYD sometimes does this too.

I actually have a picture of landing on 6L with a jet taking off of 25R, I have to find it, though.
