Why do Some Main Landing Gears Tilt Forward?

Like in the 767 and A380, their landing gears tilt forward wouldn’t make landings rougher and cause more damage when they land?

I think its the worst design but it may be for a special reason

The engineers forgot to put the gear on so they put them on as quickly as possible thus making this mistake

Well it could be a computer error too

True that …

Yes, I’d like a new spinal assembly when you have a moment, thanks. Yikes that was hard.

The engineers have decided which angle of the gear would be best for the particular design of the plane. They take into account weight distribution, pressure on the gears, flare angle, gear length and more.

The gears also tilt a certain way, to get them “folded” away. Otherwise they just wouldn’t fit. :)

I love the way the four main gears on a 747 fit together when retracted.
