Why did flying get boring?

Hello everyone

Does anyone here has the Same problem like me? Somehow flying gets very boring and I still want to fly in IF but it doesn’t feel as fun like back then

What do you fly more frequently? Changing your flight schedule would be a more interesting flight experience.

Probably because we haven’t had a new aircraft in a while - the new A380 should hopefully reinvigorate everyone’s interest.

Lufthansa and I even tried out other models like a340 and a330, b742 , b744 and a319

Still it’s pretty boring

Have you thought about joining a Virtual Airline? That brings something different. Or perhaps taking on missions. Once the new update comes out. You’ll think differently 👍

I would like to do that but I sadly don’t have discord.

Fly a fighter, use smaller aircraft to fly into smaller airports, do some of the missions included in the app. That could interest you more than flying from A to B in a big jet.

The thing is I would like to fly other airlines like United, American, BA, etc etc…

But when I do that I lose interest in Lufthansa, thus giving my brain an infinite loop of pain, suffering, anxiety and confusion due to my autism

Just mix it up a lot. Fly different airlines and aircraft, different airports.

Has it to do with the different aircraft livery colours?

mostly when I do that I wanna be fly it in real life too.

Like, I flown Swiss airlines only 1 time on expert sever and I immediately wanted to be pilot at Swiss, abandoning Lufthansa

And when I fly United and I like it then I abandon Lufthansa as a goal and instead want to become an United pilot even though that’s an other continent

The good thing is that this is just a phase and eventually, I will get bored of the other airline and get back to Lufthansa

How come you don’t have discord?

Probably because there has been kind of a lack of content over the past year. I’ll admit I have barely flown much either. In 2023 there were only 3 updates the entire year, and only one of them contained a new aircraft. Other than that, we got some liveries and new 3D airports but we haven’t really had a major update in long while. 2023 was definitely the driest year content wise since global came out. Thankfully the A380 is close to completion and hopefully we will get more stuff to look forward to this year beyond liveries and 3D airports.

I’ve an understanding, regarding your autism. It can be challenging at times. You keep going, and don’t quit. Infinite Flight can bring a lot of fun, and enjoyment, there’s a lot of people in the community, that can give you support 🇬🇧👍😀

You want to be an airline pilot, with Lufthansa. Anything is possible in life. Work your way through school, and life. Keep going towards the Goal.

Thanks for motivating me, these 2 messages helped me a lot

Personally I think I need to do shorter routes so I am more concentrated on flying than other things

You are right, I shouldn’t give up on my goals

It’s understandable to lose interest after such time, I had the same issue losing motivation to keep on flying on Infinite Flight sim but taking a break away can easily reinvigorate the interest & passion.
You just need to join VA’s, regularly take part in group events to keep things going and contributing to IFC, whether here on forum or in the discord. New exciting developments are happening soon in 2024 and beyond😎

To be honest, it feels that way some times but I would say join a VA but you do not have discord.

You could find a random flight on Discord and just fly it or find a random flight to a ATC controlled airport and fly in/out.

Get some patterns in too!

I’m going to the Hamburg event in a few days. Maybe that will hype me up, considering that I can fly Lufthansa aircrafts on it too.

I haven’t really seen anyone else suggest this yet, but tbh sometimes a well deserved break can help to revoke the passion inside you.

Even for me it’s been a little up and down in terms of wanting to fly, lacking fun etc. but after taking a break for a bit then coming back it seems more fun in my experience.

Up to you how long you’d take it, but of course be wary about your stats and dropping grades. But a lot of times when I’ve lost motivation to fly, and I wanna come back, trying to get the landings etc back so I can be grade 3 again adds to the excitement and gets me even pumped because it acts like a reward that I get for pushing for the requirements again.

Idk if that makes sense, and I also get that breaks don’t work for everyone but it’s worth a shot to just take a step back for a minute and then come back. With the A380 coming soon you’ll have a nice surprise when you return :)
