I am in VIDP(DEL) right now and I’m scheduled to fly from DEL-JFK with an A350. I am just wondering on why the ATC cannot follow or even double check on what runways are being used in real world? It is as simple as searching FR24 and checking. Doing ATC Duties is a big task and everyone planning to do it should be responsible enough to know that which runways are being used in real world at the moment. I am currently holding position after departing from my gate as I am confused because in real world, the current runway being used for arrivals and departures at VIDP are 09,10,11 but in the expert server the current ATC is giving instructions for the opposite runways (27,28,29). This makes me want to wait for ATC to at least give the right runway information so my flight can be as real as possible. I am wondering since this game is supposed to display real flying then shouldn’t ATC’s check the real information and use that in the game as well?. The game is very much improving with really realistic planes releasing, but moments like this really messes up. I believe there should be at least details somehow available for ATC on which runways are being used live.

also the latest observation indicates that the winds are calm at vidp (delhi) , we were indeed operating 10/11/09 earlier today after a runway change from 27/28/29 as per the irl trend due to the storm and sudden wind shift in delhi.
however when the winds allow controllers in infinite flight are free to choose runway configs at their discretion , it is also important to note that it is not always possible to have multiple/frequent runway changes at hubs due to the given traffic volume.
update - irl config is back to 27/28/29 at vidp
It’s currently using 27,28,29. IRL the airport likely delayed the change due to heavy inbounds just as we would in IF.
For the IF controllers, the opportunity presented itself to change the configuration earlier due to a small gap in arrivals.
This is how airports operate in practice. We simply cannot simulate immediate changes when airports do so in real life, as we also need a break in traffic just as VIDP had a few minutes ago. 
Can I politely recommend that if simulating real flights is your aim, you switch to the American 787-9 which operates the JFK route, not the a350 
Just to share my personal feelings, I feel that it seems taboo to talk about ATC issues in IF. Sometimes they may make illogical mistakes or make mistakes in their own busy schedules, but as we cannot point them out, even if it is obviously wrong. For example, when landing at an airport with clear headwinds and downwinds, ATC chooses to land in the downwind direction. Is this possible in practice? For example, when I landed at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport last night, the ATC gave me landing runways 8R and 9L. I chose 8R to approach and reported to the air traffic control. The ATC control gave me permission, and when I reached the right downwind, he gave me instructions for runway 9L. I immediately replied and changed my plan to runway 9L. When I reached the final, ATC changed back to runway 8R. So I replied and changed my plan again, going to runway 8R. When I descended to the last 3000ft, the ATC gave me instructions to land on runway 9L and then turn right to leave the runway and cross runway 9R directly. At that time, I had no spare time to change the runway, either go around or prompt the ATC I had already followed the previous instruction and I was about to land on runway 8R, so I chose the latter and reported to ATC that I was on runway 8R final. The ATC then gave me runway 8R is the instruction to land and cross runway 8L after leaving the runway confusing? And most importantly, at that time, I was the only one landing at Charles de Gaulle Airport, and there were no planes waiting to take off on the ground!
