KORD has no published SIDs irl
oh i didn’t know. thanks
You’d think for such a large airport, it should have SIDS
It has no established routes, but there are fixes to navigate to after departure
This is because you get vectored to your airway IRL in most major US airports
not on departure right?
Yes, if you check charts at JFK for example, you are supposed to fly a heading at 5000 ft until you get vectored by departure
KORD departures are radar vectors by ATC.
So for example
Shamrock 12D cleared for takeoff RW28L turn right heading 360 at 3 miles.
Delta 1120 cleared for takeoff RW28L fly heading 200.
