Why are some of the final approach cones in red?

Can anyone help with why the final approach cones are red, always wondered why??

Red = ILS
Grey = GPS

Red (ILS) is the only one where you can trust the glideslope will bring you to the runway without hitting terrain.

White (GPS) now has a glideslope displayed in IF however it may take you through terrain because those approaches don’t necessarily exist in real life. Only use that glideslope in good visibility.
