If you’ve been following our recent Open Beta updates (or our CEO’s Discord leaks), you may have noticed something unexpected entering testing: the Airbus A330-200.
And collectively, the audience exclaimed, “Um… what?”
For some, that’s exciting. If you’re into wing box fairings that are comically large in relation to the fuselage, or oddly stretched out main gear (long live the 777), but my personal preference may be spilling into the corporate comms and I digress. For others, it raises fair questions about how a new aircraft variant shows up while other aircraft still in development haven’t shipped yet. This article adds a bit of context on how the A330-200 came to be, what changed behind the scenes, and why this kind of addition is possible now.
I certainly wasn’t expecting the Spanish, I mean, the A332, and it looks really advanced in production, do you have an estimated release timeframe? I know the basic, and correct, answer will be “when it’s ready,” but maybe a vague timeframe can help reduce the anger on social media re-lack of 26.1.
Emphasis on this especially, I remember flying the A330-300 only on a short hop between Fort Lauderdale and Montreal and the aircraft struggled to climb at only 1,800ft/m
Awesome! I would love to fly it on infiniteflight. Azul has great liveries on it, besides its standard. Check PR-AIV, PR-AIT and PR-AIU, Brazilian flag, tudo azul and azul viagens livery
