like who uses it because I don’t use it. I know people who dont have time use it but who in their free time uses it?
I use it from time to time. I’ll probably use it more though once the bugs with it are fixed and it accounts for changing winds ![]()
Yea but i dont get using it if you have free time. I just did a 16 hour flight without AP+
wow its amazing
While i was flying almost every plane was in ap+
As someone with only one device for everything, I genuinely think I haven’t done a single non-AP+ flight that’s more than 2 hours long ever since AP+ released.
I have tons of devices
i use it VERY rarely.. like when i don’t really have any other choice at a moment
Yea, same. Also, I have a life, including work, school, family, and more. So AP+ is the most clutch save at the moment!
I use it all the same; pretty much for every flight I do.
I don’t use it unless an unexpected event happens. It is simply better to adjust the altitude and view the scenery
I never use AP+ for full flights, but it is a great option to reconnect the flight to a multiplayer server after the connection was lost due to for example a network error. Before AP+ this would have not been possible and you had to finish the flight offline.
The question Is why not?
Your plane Is flying, without draining your battery and its life. But I keep coming back for wind speed changes when I can, because I noticed that it does not account for wind direction and speed changes for some reason. Idk if it’s a bug or not.
And if it gets boring, I’ll keep my AP+ and then do an another flight that would land before my AP+ flight would start descending! ![]()
More landings, double the flight time per minute. XD
Also idk if you guys know this, but with AP+ you can switch devices. I takeoff with my iPad, and when I’m out, I’ll constantly check on my flight, step climb, etc on my iPhone.
And then land when I get back on my iPad. It’s game changing I love it.
May I ask why? I thought AP+ was game changing for battery life and efficiency. Why not use it?
AP+ was the reason why I returned to IF. The biggest issue I used to have was that I only have one device and I love doing long-hauls. ![]()
Now that I also have an iPad, I would occasionally do one long-haul and then start a second 2 or 3 hours flight which is then of course not an AP+
This is intentional at the moment. The devs plan to add wind as a factor for AP+ in the future, but apparently that was taking a lot of coding and time away from the new graphics engine
It’s been a huge help for me, between work and family. I don’t get as much flight time as I would like. AP plus allows me to go through the entire planning process, get up to cruise, and end my session. I can then (most of the time) pick up and land during another session. My only complaint is I’m not always able to finish the flight before the expiration, but hey, at least I can do some part of it!
AP+ was, in my opinion, one of the best features—if not the best—introduced to this sim. I use it all the time on flights > 2h. ![]()
Well, one reason is that I don’t really need it. I have a separate device for IF which I don’t mind running in the background for several hours or even during the night for long haul flights. Another reason is that I use two third party apps during all flights and these apps often don’t work properly anymore after reconnecting to the flight.
Oh I see! Hope it’s implemented In the future. Thank Yiu for that.
