Hello everyone! I’m currently on the training server, and just departed from KJFK, bound for EGLL. On the map, I’m noticing these white outlines. What are they?
I have a screenshot for reference.

Those are the active center frequencies 🤫
Hello,
Those white outlines show active centre frequencies that are currently being controlled by a controller on the Training Server. When you are in those white boundaries (and within 405nm of the airport centre is being opened from), you’ll be able to tune into the centre frequency.
okay, got it! When I’m at cruising altitude, do I need to check in with these control centers? I’m at FL350.
If you’re not in their airspace, you don’t have to. But if you are, you must contact them.
They are active center frequencies.
okay, got it. So if I’m in the white outline, does that mean I’m within the airspace? Or does the airspace only extend to a certain altitude?
That’s correct!
Thanks for the help!
No problem! Enjoy your flight.
Thanks! I’m taking a few screenshots, and they’ll be posted as a flight report once I land!
