Which control sensitivity do you use in Infinite Flight—low or high—and why?

I’m curious about how different pilots set their control sensitivity in Infinite Flight.Do you prefer low or high sensitivity, and why?

Why did you choose that setting? Was it comfort, realism, aircraft type, or something else?
Do you change sensitivity depending on the aircraft you’re flying?

When I was new to the community a few years ago, I used to watch Dan’s streams. I simply remember him saying “I just leave them as default”(or something like that) & I’ve followed this ever since & and never needed to change.

I suppose it’s personal preference, but I use default sensitivity for all the planes I fly. Never needed to change it.

It’s been 6 years now for me, and I haven’t touched that setting, to be honest. The default one feels balanced, I’ve got used to it now, and I don’t plan to change it unless I connect an external device, which would provide a different type of sensitivity.

I’m different I always use low because I over correct to much when I land. The only take away form using low is that it’s kind of hard to flare but I’ve gotten better at it

I prefer the default.
I tried the low, it felt slow but otherwise stable. I needed it to be a bit faster when on short finals or especially during the final corrections during decrab.
The challenges i get with the normal or default is that slight movements on the device can have big impacts especially beginning the 200ft RA where you aiming for a centerline, stable approach, minimal corrections and then down to the last 50ft where I transition to flare, maintaining 5 degrees pitch then keeping wings level and then at times decrabbing the aircraft.
For me to achieve a stable approach i have to do a quick but very light movements on the device till the main landing gears touch the runway. :joy: that soft touch subtle bounce when the aircraft touches the ground with both main landing gears.

I totally can relate to this. I think I’m gonna try default settings though.

I use a joystick btw/for the utmost realism the sensitivity is set to 45%

What joystick?

To be honest I don’t even know :joy:

I keep my control sensitivity on low.

In the Controls Tab > Config page, I set pitch to 50% and roll to 75%.

This feels the most realistic to me. Besides, in most of my flying I don’t really ever make large pitch movements so I’d prefer to keep that stable. Roll I like to be a little more sensitive, but still require some deliberate input.

I set my sensitivity to normal. The gyro hardware on certain phones feels different. The gyro on the iPhone is the most comfortable in my opinion, it is sensitive but not slippery.

I always use the normal/default setting but sometimes I try using low when flying something like the f18 because it moves easily and I can’t really do an approach but I can’t do a barrel roll while the sensitivity is set to low.

It depends. I use a Logitech and its rudder is super sensitive so that is turned down to about 65% with about a 80% null, X/Y 95%, throttle 100%.

Low cause I was an RFS player before Infinite Flight and RFS has very insensitive controls and I wasn’t able to properly fly cause IF has really sensitive controls in comparison

i Use default sensitivity because I’m too affraid to set it.

Default, no need to change the sensitivity.

I thought the configuration page was for joystick, so you can modify % for the pitch and roll for tilt/device?

Yep, Settings > Controls > Motion tab > Config will let you change the sensitivity as well as the null zone.

High sensitivity and the sliders all the way to max sensitivity in settings, usually preference when I fly jets but I’m used to it as well when flying commercial aircraft, not sure why just I like having sensitive control and it works
