Are there any suggestions on a flight I should do??? (Let’s try and keep it under 2 hours plz)
G’day!
We have an awesome topic dedicated for suggested routes from a huge bunch of community members which should be a massive help :)
Be sure to check out the short haul section:
Gatwick to Turin is cool around 1hr 30min. Its on the easyJet A319 and BA A320/A319! Gatwick to Tivat is nice on the easyJet A320 but its 2hrs 40min about. You can do it from Geneva though which is around 1hr 50min :)
There is a rally fun and challenging route from CYCG - CZNL, I recommend using a C172
Springfield (KSGF) has many great short-haul flights throughout the Midwest, some of which I’ve compiled into a list below.
Destination | Aircraft | Airline |
---|---|---|
KDFW | ERJ-145 (Sub CRJ-200) | American Eagle |
KCLT | ERJ-145 (Sub CRJ-200) | American Eagle |
KORD | ERJ-145 (Sub CRJ-200) | United Express |
KDEN | ERJ-145 (Sub CRJ-200) | United Express |
KIAH | ERJ-145 (Sub CRJ-200) | United Express |
KATL | CRJ-200 | Delta Connection |
KSFB | A319 (Sub A320) | Allegiant |
All of these flights should take under 2 hours, if not it’s at least less than 3 hours.
Springfield is also used by the National Guard, so I’d imagine you could have some fun in a C-17 and fly somewhere fun such as Charlotte, an airport that also serves the National Guard.
Or instead of a c 17 take the tanker and see if you get fighters randomly spawn in and come get fuel u could play fighter jet lottery
Springfield’s runway is far too short for a KC-10, it works for the C17 because it’s a STOL (short takeoff and landing) aircraft.
My favorite short route has to be either KLAX-KMMH, or KLAX-KRNO. Both flights come in around 40-60 minutes! Also both flights cross over the Sierras which offer some fantastic views. Both flights offer views of Half Dome, Yosemite, and Mount Whitney, the tallest mountain in the lower 48. The approach to Mammoth is fantastic, as just after crossing the Sierras, you parallel highway 395 and descend into the Long Valley. The final approach sees you head straight for Mammoth Mountain, as winds and poor weather often lead to a challenging approach! Hope this helps!
My bad haha just thought it sounded like a fun idea
San Francisco to San Diego Classic flight with a Being or Airbus
or Kathmandu to Paro A319
You could VIDP (New Delhi, India) to VNKT (Kathmandu, Nepal). Its a fun flight with scenic mountains and an interesting approach. Also visibility at New Delhi is literally 0 right now so that will make things more interesting.
Toulouse to Calvi. The approach to runway 36 is challenging but spectacular at the same time! Remember to use an Airbus, you’re in Airbus territory.
