Yes, same. Many times I fly return legs in the same session, warranting a callsign change at the gate, in-game.

That’s exactly what I do. Im currently sat at the gate in Oman with the exact same callsign I landed with. Seems pointless to leave the flight change it on the Home Screen and then start a new flight.

If it ain’t broken, why fix it?

I used to do multiple legs using the same aircraft doing return flights by changing the flight number when I finished the first flight. Now I need to end the game and start a new one again… So unnecessary.

Honestly being able to change Callsign in flight was and is needed, For multiple reasons as other fellow pilots have mentioned above.

Its not even really about, “Why need it”
Its more like, “Why remove it”

Bring this back.

It may seem that way, but that’s not the case.

The way it’s done now actually solved a few things behind the scenes.

There are always reasons for changes to be made.

That being said, I do hope it will be possible to change callsigns during a flight again soon.

To be honest, before I got my own callsign I used to forget to change it from X airline to Y airline, I realize that once I issue a request pushback/taxi

Finally found the right topic.

When the new update came out, I immediately started trying everything out.
First of all, a big thank you to the developers for the Simbrief implementation RESPECT

Now that I had completed my first outward flight, I wanted the return flight and an onward flight, but when I discovered, as the others said, that you could no longer change the call signs in the game, I was briefly shocked!
Where did this change go?
After I found out, I lost my mood because I don’t feel like restarting every flight after I land for the return flight.

I can only hope that you developers will bring back this missing setting.

Schyllberg has already stated they will take our feedback on board so hopefully it gets changed back in the next update :)

I was trying to see why i can’t change callsign while in session suppose I want to do multiple legs I have to stick to the same callsign for the same session?? So I order to change it I have to complete my flight and start a new session???

I mean… what if I’m flying with a realistic callsign and I need to do a turnaround? I’ll need to change the number on the call sign, so really leaving to change it then coming back isn’t helping at all.

At the moment yes, but as Schyllberg has stated that they have received our feedback they may just want to roll it back again, we’ll just have to wait and see.

Since the new update, you probably have to restart after you have landed and want to fly back or to another destination. Or you can continue flying with the same callsign without restarting.

I realized I was flying with the wrong callsign after takeoff, it was disappointing that I couldn’t change my callsign to the correct one during the session.

Hello! Thanks for the clarification. Not sure if it was a thought, but some users for realism fly route after route changing call signs per route. For example, I look up tail numbers in the game on flight aware and fly the real routes and times. At a destination before the next leg/route I’ll change call signs to whatever the real one is.
