Ok guys can reverse thrust be used before the nose gear touches the ground ? Or it must be used after the nose gear touches the ground
Looking at this reddit thread - it seems to depend on the aircraft:
Personally though - I do it once the main gear are settled.
I normally deploy the reverse thrust on 1 mile final

Depends on the scenario
If it’s a sufficiently long runway at sea level, I activate it once BOTH gear hit the ground and use 50% and gradually reducing until 60kts that’s when I stow them
For short/high elevation fields, I deploy them the second my main gear touchdown and depending on length and altitude I follow the exact process as normal or use more reverse thrust
There are airports that don’t allow to use reverser due to noise restrictions. Than you are only allowed for emergencies.
