Last night, more specifically midnight eastern time, I departed JFK for Tel Aviv on the expert server. I clearly marked on my callsign and everything I was overweight. As soon as I lined up, an air India 777-300 also lined up behind me. Once I announced my departure, I slowly climbed up to 3000, looked behind me, and saw this speedy bird (no pun intended it’s air India lol) passing overhead at a fast speed. Was such a close call, i disarmed autopilot, LNAV, everything else and started descending. I blurred his name for privacy, because although this is unreasonable, I do respect his privacy.

TCAS won’t fix people being idiots unfortunately.
This is one of the downsides to online platforms, you can’t really control everyone using them. There will always be the odd users that don’t display the same professionalism as others. We just have to deal with it sometimes

It has saved me multiple time with foreflights traffic system, helped me many times, especially in busy areas. Not sure about others.

If they aren’t paying attention to the other users around them, they sure as anything won’t pay attention to TCAS.

Yeah I think TCAS would help, I’ve never collided with another person on infinite flight, so idk if it causes pls ban, but didn’t wanna find out. Like I said it was midnight so I was literally dosing off and I checked my iPad one more time to see if I have enough fuel, and I spot this guy. Glad I saw him lol
Well some TCAS systems descend and stuff automatically if the pilot doesn’t, at least I thimk

There should be a server called realistic expert server or something, i always see people rushing to get in front lf people doing 25kts ground speed.and thats one of few things that is not so (expert) on expert servers.

problem with a TCAS system is that it would probably kick in at unwanted situations- for example during a large event with escorts all around may cause a bit of havoc among attendees.

Yeah it’s annoying when players like this act like this especially in the expert server. Idk what to do but try to Nicely without being mean message them about what they did haha.
I had ap on and was overweight wasn’t rlly paying attention, my vertical speed was much lower than it looks. Also that’s barely over 45° so I don’t really get what to it saying lol
