So I was curious, what’s been the coolest place you have ever landed?
So far on my #1 list is an Oil Platform we support out in Alaska, It not only gave me a new respect to those men and women who work on platforms but also to crews who have to operate to platforms everyday!
Here I am after we arrived to one of the platforms!

Probably Iguazú Falls, Argentina, because there was a beautiful view of the falls as we were landing on the tiny airstrip.

Port Vila, Vanuatu. The amazing part is the scenery, the amazing coloured blue water, the mountains on one side and palm trees below. Also on the cool plane you step off into such a nice welcoming warm, warm breeze. Beautiful.

Nice pic! certainly a bit different. Most unsual that I have landed on (not as a pilot I hasten to add) is the Helo Deck of Naval Auxulary in the English Channel. Had been flown out by Seaking from Portland Naval base (now a very nice marina and base for the sailing in the 2012 Olympics) to join the ship in a capacty of a MN Officer gaining naval experince as part of my reserve training.

Easily Dubai. We flew over the Burj Kalifa, Burj al Arab and the palm islands and of course the city of Dubai

mine was the RFA Green Rover, however spent time in North Atlantic on HMS Exeter and been winched on to a one of the Black War Canoes as well.

Ok. I haven’t flown out of the U.S. before so the coolest place I’ve flown into would probably be KDEN. I came in for runway 35R on a SWA B738 parallel to a UAL E175. This is probably a boring landing compared to most others😜
