Hello, so i’ve always wanted to become a pilotc but i have one problem, i’m horrible at math. How good does one have to be at math and maybe other things to become a pilot? Thanks in advance.

Typically maths(specially integration and algebra) helps you build accurate climb plans and descend plans

This is not IF-Related therefore it shouldn’t be in the General category. This, if anything, should be in Real World Aviation

You don’t gotta be good at math to be a pilot

But you do need good communication skills and be able to work with other people well, and according to I think it was American Airlines you have to master the usage of electronics, (which 90% of us can)

As a student pilot, I can share that while mathematics is utilized, it primarily involves fundamental concepts. Although some advanced aspects may be required later, they are generally manageable.

Furthermore, the extent of mathematical involvement varies depending on the pilot’s desired specialization. For a Private Pilot License, it is not a significant factor, but it becomes somewhat more involved for Instrument Flight Rules, Airline Transport Pilot, or other ratings, though still quite attainable. Other essential skills for aspiring pilots include effective interpersonal communication, radio proficiency, and adapting to various auditory environments.

The problem with becoming a pilot is financial often, flight hours are quite expensive

There’s several topics in Real World Aviation covering this.
