What's new?

Just wondering before considering whether to resubscribe…

  1. Have the major battery drain issues following the last major update around the start of 2020 been fixed yet?

  2. Any fix to the longstanding issue of some aircraft bobbing up and down at cruise altitude? (777-300 in particular)

  3. Any new features that stand out? - namely any to do with navigation, ATC, Live, scenery, runway lighting, night flying experience (or is this still pitch black)

  4. Any change in the way violations/reports are handled?

  5. Any increase (or decrease) in the professionalism of the ‘expert server’?

Good day #stayhomestaysafe

No but we are getting an update very soon so that should fix the issues 19.4 had.

Yes, there are some things new!

Runway diagrams will be on the map in 20.1, making it easier to navigate.

You can send a message to @reports any time you get reported

Not sure. I have seen some guys go crazy with landings and an A380 demolish terminals, but I’m in this group called Infinite Flight Aviation Experts, so everything’s professional where I’m at.

Not really a tech guy, but I would guess this has been handled already

No problem. B777 rework is coming close to the end though. Airport Diagrams were also announced today.

Runway diagrams looks and sounds cool. Hopefully some ATC updates to go along with it to aid navigation to take off runway?

Yes, we currently have progressive taxi

Hope so. Any confirmation on this from anybody else? Was one of the main reasons i gave up on IF at the time.

Project metal is in the works which will fix performance issues, especially on older devices. I would imagine that a lot of the performance problems will be fixed in the 20.1 update.

I wouldn’t say very soon, they said they found a cause but who knows how long it will take to to fix. Hopefully sooner rather than later tho

disappointing there’s no fix yet - will hope for one soon

It’s an extremely complex one, which isn’t directly caused by something we’ve done. Finding a workaround for someone elses code it isn’t really the easiest thing to do.

Is it a case of the updates etc being too much for the slightly older (but far from outdated I would say) devices to handle potentially?

No, it’s a case of a memory leak from a 3rd party library used to download & render scenery data. It has nothing to do with older/newer devices.
