What's happening in KLGA?

Hello there. I saw a notam in KLGA but I couldn’t check it because I’m grade 2. Can anyone explain why it happened?

That active TFR basically says no heavy aircraft in general are allowed.

Misha added a TFR there yesterday. It bans all heavy aircraft from it and will be enforced sort of like the LCY TFR. For a pilot it just means no widebodies, except for maybe the 767 (haven’t checked the biggest aircraft there myself, so take it with a grain of salt)

I believe it says no aircraft larger than A321 or B757

Why did he add that tho? I’m looking at the flight radar and planes bigger than the the Notom restricted are at the airport.

Really? I don’t think any heavies except maybe a few 757s fly into there.

Right now a 787~900ER is there

Yes. They have enough RW length for B757

Yea, just saying 757 is really the only heavy there.

Are you thinking 737-900? I dont think there is a 789 there.

The 787 is at JFK @Xavier_Omatseye
